Uses and Benefits of ROSEDAY F 20 TABLET (ROSUVASTATIN 20MG+FENOFIBRATE 160MG)

This medicine is used to treat mixed dyslipidaemia, a condition where both cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood are higher than normal.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering high LDL (bad) cholesterol
• Lowering high triglyceride levels
• Raising HDL (good) cholesterol
• Reducing risk of heart disease in people with mixed lipid disorders

HOW IT WORKS

• Rosuvastatin blocks an enzyme in the liver needed to make cholesterol, lowering LDL levels
• Fenofibrate activates a receptor that increases breakdown of fat particles, lowering triglycerides
• Together they improve overall lipid profile more effectively than either alone in some patients

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not a treatment for acute heart attack or stroke
• Not used for weight loss
• Not a substitute for diet and lifestyle changes
• Not recommended for children

• Unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness with dark urine (signs of muscle breakdown)
• Yellowing of skin or eyes, severe fatigue (signs of liver problems)
• Signs of gallstones such as severe abdominal pain
• Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips or throat, and difficulty breathing
• Unusual bleeding or bruising

How to Use ROSEDAY F 20 TABLET (ROSUVASTATIN 20MG+FENOFIBRATE 160MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• Swallow the tablet whole with water
• Take with food to reduce stomach upset and improve absorption of fenofibrate
• Try to take it at the same time each day
• Continue taking it even if you feel well, as cholesterol control needs regular use
• Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep in original packaging until use
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Have active liver disease or unexplained persistent high liver enzymes
• Have severe kidney disease or are on dialysis
• Have gallbladder disease
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Are allergic to rosuvastatin, fenofibrate, or any ingredient in the tablet

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have a history of muscle problems or myopathy
• Have kidney or liver impairment
• Drink alcohol regularly
• Have diabetes or thyroid problems
• Are taking any other cholesterol-lowering medicines

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Other statins or fibrates
• Blood thinners like warfarin
• Cyclosporine and certain antibiotics or antifungals
• Medicines for HIV or hepatitis C
• Bile acid binding resins (if taken together, space out doses)
