Uses and Benefits of ROSUKEM A 150MG Capsules (Rosuvastatin 10mg + Aspirin 150mg)
This combination is prescribed for people who have high cholesterol along with a significant risk of heart attack or stroke, especially those with existing cardiovascular disease.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- To lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides
- To reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in high-risk patients
- To prevent blood clots in patients with a history of heart disease
- As secondary prevention after a heart attack, stroke, or stent/bypass procedure, as advised by your doctor
HOW IT WORKS
- Rosuvastatin blocks an enzyme in the liver that makes cholesterol, lowering LDL levels
- Aspirin reduces the stickiness of platelets, making it harder for blood clots to form
- Together they help protect the heart and blood vessels
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not a painkiller or fever medicine, despite containing aspirin
- Not for treating infections
- Not a first-choice medicine for people without heart disease risk factors
- Not meant for immediate relief of chest pain during a heart attack; seek emergency care instead
