Roxithromycin 300mg is used to treat various bacterial infections in the body, particularly those affecting the respiratory system and skin.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Infections of the throat, sinuses, and tonsils
• Chest infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Certain ear infections

HOW IT WORKS

• It belongs to a group of antibiotics called macrolides
• It stops bacteria from making proteins they need to grow and multiply

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Usually taken before meals, as food can reduce absorption
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water, do not crush or chew unless advised
• Complete the full course even if you feel better, to prevent bacteria from becoming resistant
• Take at the same time each day for best effect

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use beyond the expiry date printed on the pack
• Do not store in the bathroom or near a sink
