This medicine is mainly used to treat and prevent nutritional deficiency anaemia caused by low levels of iron, folic acid, and vitamin B12.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating iron deficiency anaemia
• Preventing anaemia during pregnancy and lactation
• Supporting red blood cell formation in people with poor diet or increased nutritional needs
• Managing deficiency due to blood loss or chronic illness

HOW IT WORKS

• Elemental iron helps make haemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen
• Folic acid supports the production and maturation of new red blood cells
• Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) is needed for healthy nerve function and red blood cell formation
• Together they correct deficiencies that cause tiredness and weak blood

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a treatment for anaemia caused by conditions unrelated to iron, folic acid, or B12 deficiency
• It is not a general painkiller or fever medicine
• It is not meant for weight gain or as a general energy booster without medical advice
• It should not be used to self-treat unexplained fatigue without proper diagnosis

How to Use RUBIRED SUSPENSION (Elem.Iron 30mg + Folic Acid 0.5mg + Cyanocobalamin 2.5mcg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• Preferably take after food to reduce stomach upset
• Swallow the tablet or capsule whole with water; do not chew or crush unless advised
• Avoid taking with tea, coffee, or milk as they can reduce iron absorption
• Do not take together with calcium supplements or antacids at the same time; space them apart by a few hours

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children, as iron overdose in children can be dangerous
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to iron, folic acid, vitamin B12, or any ingredient in the product
• Have a condition causing excess iron in the body, such as haemochromatosis
• Have a history of frequent blood transfusions with iron overload

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have stomach ulcers or inflammatory bowel disease
• Have a history of blood disorders
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Are taking other vitamin or mineral supplements

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Antacids and calcium supplements can reduce iron absorption
• Tetracycline and certain other antibiotics may have reduced effectiveness if taken together
• Levodopa and levothyroxine absorption may be affected
• Proton pump inhibitors and H2 blockers may reduce iron absorption
