Uses and Benefits of RUPANEX TABLET (RUPATADINE 10MG)

Rupatadine 10mg is used to treat allergic conditions caused by release of histamine in the body.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of sneezing, runny or blocked nose, and itching due to allergic rhinitis
• Relief of itching, redness and swelling caused by chronic urticaria (hives)
• Relief of watery, itchy eyes associated with seasonal or year-round allergies

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks histamine H1 receptors, which reduces the allergic symptoms caused by histamine release
• It also has some action against other inflammatory mediators, giving added relief in allergic conditions
• Effect usually begins within an hour and lasts through the day with once-daily dosing

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not used to treat bacterial or viral infections
• It does not cure asthma, though it may be used alongside asthma treatment for allergic symptoms
• It is not a painkiller and does not treat fever
• It should not be used as an emergency treatment for severe allergic reactions like anaphylaxis

How to Use RUPANEX TABLET (RUPATADINE 10MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• Can be taken with or without food
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
• Try to take it at the same time every day for best results
• Do not increase the dose or take it more often than prescribed

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your regular schedule
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep the strip in its original packaging until ready to use
• Keep out of reach and sight of children
