WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

HOW IT WORKS

• Vision changes or worsening of diabetic eye disease
• Signs of kidney problems such as reduced urination or swelling
• Lump or swelling in the neck, hoarseness, or difficulty swallowing (possible thyroid tumour)

How to Use RYBELSUS 3MG TABLET (SEMAGLUTIDE 3MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Given as an injection under the skin (subcutaneous), usually in the thigh, abdomen, or upper arm
• Taken once a week, on the same day each week, as prescribed by your doctor
• Can be taken with or without food
• Rotate injection sites to avoid skin problems
• Do not increase the dose on your own; your doctor will adjust it gradually
• Use only as directed by your doctor or diabetes educator, and follow the specific device instructions provided

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as possible if it has been less than 5 days
• If more than 5 days have passed, skip the missed dose and take the next one on your regular scheduled day
• Do not take two doses close together to make up for a missed one
• Contact your doctor if you are unsure what to do

STORAGE

• Store in a refrigerator, away from direct freezing
• Once in use, some pens can be kept at room temperature for a limited period as per the manufacturer's instructions
• Keep away from direct heat and sunlight

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma
• Have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2
• Are allergic to semaglutide or any other ingredient in the injection
• Are pregnant or planning pregnancy
• Are breastfeeding
