WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating Parkinson's disease as an add-on therapy to levodopa
• Reducing 'off' periods (times when Parkinson's symptoms worsen between levodopa doses)
• Improving motor symptoms like stiffness, slowness, and tremors

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks an enzyme called MAO-B that breaks down dopamine in the brain
• This increases the amount of dopamine available, helping control movement symptoms

How to Use SAFION 100MG TABLET (SAFINAMIDE 100MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• It can be taken with or without food
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue as normal
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
