This composition is mainly prescribed for the management of high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults who need more than one medicine to control their blood pressure.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Long-term control of high blood pressure
• Reducing risk of heart and kidney complications caused by high blood pressure
• Used when a single blood pressure medicine is not enough

HOW IT WORKS

• Telmisartan relaxes blood vessels by blocking a hormone called angiotensin II
• Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that widens blood vessels and reduces the heart's workload
• Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that helps the kidneys remove extra salt and water, lowering blood volume

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not for treating sudden, severely high blood pressure (hypertensive emergency)
• Not a painkiller or fever medicine
• Not for treating heart attack or stroke once they have occurred
• Not suitable for immediate relief of chest pain

How to Use SARTEL TRIO TABLET (Telmisartan 40mg + Cilnidipine 10mg + Chlorthalidone 6.25mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• Swallow the tablet whole with water
• Take at the same time each day to help you remember
• Can be taken with or without food, unless your doctor advises otherwise
• Do not stop taking it suddenly even if you feel well, as blood pressure may rise again

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
• If you miss doses often, set a reminder or speak to your doctor

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep in the original strip or container until use

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
