Uses and Benefits of SOLITEN 10MG TABLET (SOLIFENACIN SUCCINATE 10MG)

This medicine is used to treat overactive bladder, a condition causing sudden, uncontrollable urges to urinate, frequent urination, and sometimes leakage of urine.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Reducing urgency and frequency of urination
• Reducing episodes of urge incontinence (leakage due to sudden urge)
• Managing symptoms of overactive bladder in adults

HOW IT WORKS

• Blocks certain receptors (muscarinic receptors) in the bladder muscle
• This relaxes the bladder wall and reduces involuntary contractions
• Helps increase the amount of urine the bladder can hold before urge occurs

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for urinary tract infections
• Not used for stress incontinence caused by physical activity or coughing
• Not used for prostate enlargement symptoms alone
• Not a painkiller and does not treat bladder pain syndrome

How to Use SOLITEN 10MG TABLET (SOLIFENACIN SUCCINATE 10MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew
• Can be taken with or without food
• Try to take it at the same time each day for best effect
• Drink adequate fluids unless your doctor advises otherwise

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep in original packaging until ready to use
• Keep out of reach and sight of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to solifenacin or any ingredient in the tablet
• Have urinary retention (inability to empty the bladder)
• Have severe stomach or intestinal problems like severe constipation or blockage
• Have uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma
• Are on dialysis or have severe liver disease

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have kidney or liver problems
• Have a bladder outlet obstruction
• Have a history of prolonged QT interval or heart rhythm problems
• Have autonomic neuropathy
• Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
• Are elderly or frail

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Other anticholinergic medicines (may increase dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision)
• Ketoconazole and other strong CYP3A4 inhibitors
• Medicines that affect heart rhythm (QT prolonging drugs)
• Certain antifungal or antiviral medicines
