This combination is mainly prescribed to treat stomach infection caused by Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) bacteria, often responsible for peptic and duodenal ulcers.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Eradication of H. pylori infection in the stomach
• Treatment of peptic ulcer disease associated with H. pylori
• Helping prevent ulcer recurrence caused by this infection

HOW IT WORKS

• Clarithromycin and Amoxycillin are antibiotics that kill or stop growth of H. pylori bacteria
• Esomeprazole reduces stomach acid production, helping the ulcer heal and creating a better environment for antibiotics to work
• Together they clear the infection and support healing of the stomach lining

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for viral infections like common cold or flu

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with or after food to reduce stomach upset
• Complete the full course even if you feel better before finishing it
• Swallow tablets/capsules whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Take doses at evenly spaced times as directed
• Avoid alcohol during the course as it may worsen stomach side effects

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as scheduled
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to Clarithromycin, Amoxycillin, Penicillin, Esomeprazole, or similar drugs
