This combination medicine is mainly used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to reduce the risk of heart-related complications in people who need more than one medicine to control their blood pressure.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Controlling high blood pressure
- Reducing strain on the heart and blood vessels
- Lowering risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney problems linked to high blood pressure
- Sometimes used in patients with heart failure or after a heart attack, as advised by the doctor
HOW IT WORKS
- Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessel walls, improving blood flow
- Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor that blocks a hormone (angiotensin II) responsible for narrowing blood vessels
- Together they lower blood pressure more effectively than either medicine alone
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not a painkiller or fever medicine
- Not used for immediate emergency lowering of dangerously high blood pressure
- Not a treatment for infections
- Not recommended for use during pregnancy

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

- Swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat (signs of angioedema)

- Severe dizziness or fainting
- Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice)
- Signs of high potassium such as irregular heartbeat, muscle weakness
- Very low urine output or signs of kidney problems

How to Use STAMACE-5 CAPSULE (AMLODIPINE 5MG + RAMIPRIL 5MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
- Can be taken with or without food, but try to take it at the same time every day
- Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, even if you feel well
- Continue taking it regularly to keep blood pressure controlled
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are pregnant or planning pregnancy
- Are breastfeeding
- Have a known allergy to amlodipine, ramipril, or other ACE inhibitors
- Have a history of angioedema (swelling reactions)
- Have severe narrowing of the aortic valve or severe low blood pressure
