This composition is mainly used to control high blood pressure in adults who need more than one medicine to keep it in a healthy range.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating high blood pressure (hypertension)
• Used when a single blood pressure medicine is not enough to control it
• Sometimes continued long term to keep blood pressure stable

HOW IT WORKS

• Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes and widens blood vessels
• Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic (water pill) that helps the body remove extra salt and fluid through urine
• Together they reduce the pressure on blood vessel walls, lowering blood pressure

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for immediate emergency lowering of very high blood pressure
• Not a painkiller and does not treat chest pain attacks directly

• Fainting or severe dizziness
• Very fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat
• Signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, swelling of face/lips/throat, or difficulty breathing
• Severe muscle weakness or cramps (may indicate low potassium)
• Yellowing of skin or eyes
• Little or no urine output
• Severe skin reactions such as blistering or peeling

How to Use STAMLO-D TABLET (Amlodipine 5mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Try to take it at the same time each day for consistent effect
• Can be taken with or without food, unless your doctor says otherwise
• Continue taking it even if you feel well, as it controls but does not cure high blood pressure
• Do not stop suddenly without talking to your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue as usual
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep in the original pack until it is time to take the medicine
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to amlodipine, hydrochlorothiazide, or sulfonamide-based medicines
• Have severe low blood pressure or are in shock
• Have severe kidney failure with no urine output (anuria)
• Are pregnant or planning pregnancy, unless specifically advised by your doctor

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have liver or kidney disease
• Have diabetes or gout
• Have a history of low potassium or sodium levels
• Have heart valve problems or recent heart attack
• Are breastfeeding
• Are elderly, as you may be more sensitive to blood pressure–lowering effects

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Other blood pressure–lowering medicines
• Lithium
• Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen
• Potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics
• Diabetes medicines, as blood sugar levels may be affected
• Certain heart rhythm medicines
