Uses and Benefits of TEGCISE 50 Tablets (Tegoprazan 50mg)

Tegoprazan is used to treat conditions caused by excess stomach acid, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and peptic ulcers.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• Erosive esophagitis (inflammation and damage to the food pipe from acid)
• Peptic ulcer disease, often along with other medicines
• Relief of heartburn, acid regurgitation, and related discomfort

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks the potassium-competitive acid pump in the stomach lining
• This reduces the amount of acid the stomach produces
• It works faster and more consistently than some older acid-reducing medicines
• Lower acid levels allow irritated tissue in the esophagus or stomach to heal

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a painkiller and does not treat general stomach pain unrelated to acid

How to Use TEGCISE 50 Tablets (Tegoprazan 50mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• It can generally be taken with or without food, but follow your doctor's specific instructions
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless your doctor says it is safe to do so
• Try to take it at the same time each day for best results
• Continue for the full duration advised, even if you feel better, unless told to stop

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your regular schedule
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep the tablet in its original packaging until ready to use
• Keep out of reach and sight of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
