This combination medicine is mainly used to treat symptoms of common cold, flu, and allergic conditions affecting the nose and throat.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Dry, irritating cough
- Blocked or stuffy nose
- Runny nose and sneezing due to cold or allergy
- Watery eyes and nasal symptoms of allergic rhinitis
HOW IT WORKS
- Chlorpheniramine Maleate blocks histamine, reducing sneezing, itching, and watery eyes
- Dextromethorphan acts on the brain's cough centre to reduce the urge to cough
- Phenylephrine narrows blood vessels in the nose, reducing swelling and congestion
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Productive (wet/mucus-filled) cough where mucus needs to be cleared
- Cough due to asthma, tuberculosis, or serious lung disease
- Bacterial infections such as sinusitis or pneumonia
- Long-term control of chronic cough or chronic allergy without medical advice

How to Use TUSQ-X SYRUP (Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Phenylephrine Hydrochloride)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor or as per the label
- Usually taken by mouth, with or without food
- Use a proper measuring cup/spoon if it is a syrup, not a regular kitchen spoon
- Do not increase the dose or take it more often than advised
- Avoid taking other cold/cough medicines at the same time unless your doctor says so
- Do not take at bedtime dose too close to driving or operating machinery due to drowsiness
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

- Have severe urinary retention or enlarged prostate with obstruction
