This medicine combination is mainly used to treat urinary symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate) when there is also inflammation or swelling contributing to the problem.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Difficulty in passing urine due to enlarged prostate
• Weak or interrupted urine flow
• Frequent urge to urinate, especially at night
• Reducing prostate-related inflammation and swelling

HOW IT WORKS

• Tamsulosin relaxes the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to pass urine
• Deflazacort is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, swelling and irritation in the urinary tract
• Together they help relieve obstruction and discomfort caused by prostate enlargement

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used to treat prostate cancer
• Not used for urinary tract infections without prostate involvement
• Not a treatment to shrink the prostate permanently
• Not for use in women or children

How to Use URIMAX Z Capsule (Tamsulosin 0.4mg + Deflazacort 30mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily after a meal
• Swallow the tablet or capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew
• Take at the same time each day for best effect
• Do not stop the corticosteroid part suddenly without doctor's advice, as it may need to be reduced gradually
• Continue taking it even if you feel better, unless your doctor tells you to stop

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
• If you miss several doses, inform your doctor before restarting

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep in the original pack until it is time to take it
• Keep out of reach of children and pets
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to Tamsulosin, Deflazacort or any other ingredient in it
• Have a history of fainting due to low blood pressure
• Have an active untreated infection, especially fungal infections
• Are a woman or a child (this medicine is meant for adult men)
