WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Lowering high LDL (bad) cholesterol

HOW IT WORKS
- Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme in the liver needed to make cholesterol, reducing LDL production

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily in the evening or with dinner
- Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Take it at the same time every day for best results
- Avoid taking with hot drinks or alcohol as it may worsen flushing
- Continue taking it even if you feel well, as lipid control needs regular use
