WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

  • Urinary tract infections

  • Typhoid fever caused by susceptible bacteria

HOW IT WORKS

  • Cefixime stops bacteria from building their protective cell wall, causing them to die
  • Clavulanic Acid blocks an enzyme (beta-lactamase) that some bacteria produce to destroy cefixime
