This combination is mainly used to treat mixed infections of the intestines and abdomen where both bacteria and anaerobic parasites are responsible.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Diarrhoea caused by mixed bacterial and parasitic infection
- Intestinal amoebiasis
- Abdominal infections following surgery
- Infections of the reproductive and urinary tract caused by mixed organisms
- Complicated gastrointestinal infections as advised by a doctor
HOW IT WORKS
- Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic that stops bacteria from multiplying by blocking enzymes needed for their DNA replication
- Tinidazole is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent that damages the DNA of parasites and anaerobic bacteria, killing them
- Together they cover a broader range of organisms than either medicine alone

- Common cold, flu, or viral fever
- Simple viral diarrhoea without infection

How to Use Ciprofloxacin 500mg + Tinidazole 600mg
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with food to reduce stomach upset
- Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water
- Do not crush or chew unless your doctor advises
- Complete the full course even if you feel better early, to prevent the infection from returning or becoming resistant
- Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 2 days after finishing, as it can cause severe nausea and vomiting
- Take at the same time each day for consistent effect
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one
- Try to maintain a regular dosing schedule

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
