Clobazam 5mg is prescribed as an add-on treatment for epilepsy (seizure disorders) and for short-term management of severe anxiety.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- As an additional medicine along with other anti-epileptic drugs to control certain types of seizures
- For short-term relief of severe, disabling anxiety when other treatments have not worked
- Sometimes used before certain procedures to reduce anxiety, only under medical supervision
HOW IT WORKS
- It belongs to a group of medicines called benzodiazepines

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

How to Use Clobazam 5mg
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice a day
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water, with or without food
- Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own
- Do not stop this medicine suddenly, even if you feel better, without consulting your doctor, as this can trigger seizures or withdrawal symptoms
- Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine as it increases drowsiness
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your normal schedule
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct heat, light and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not share this medicine with anyone else, even if they have similar symptoms
- Dispose of expired or unused medicine safely, not in household trash or drains
