Clobetasol Propionate is used to treat various inflammatory skin conditions where a strong steroid effect is needed.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

  • Psoriasis (thick, scaly skin patches)
  • Severe eczema and dermatitis that has not responded to milder steroids
  • Lichen planus and other resistant inflammatory skin conditions
  • Discoid lupus erythematosus affecting the skin

HOW IT WORKS

  • It belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids

How to Use Clobetasol Propionate 0.05%W/W

HOW TO TAKE IT

  • Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area only, as prescribed by your doctor
  • Wash and dry your hands before and after application (unless hands are the treated area)
  • Do not cover the treated area with a bandage unless your doctor tells you to
  • Do not use for longer than the duration prescribed, as this medicine is meant for short-term use
  • Avoid applying to the face, eyes, groin or broken/infected skin unless specifically directed
  • Do not use more often or in larger amounts than prescribed

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

  • Apply it as soon as you remember
  • If it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed one and continue as usual
  • Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

  • Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
  • Keep the tube tightly closed
  • Keep out of reach of children

  • Severe skin thinning, ulceration or easy bruising
