This medicine is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet, exercise, and single medicines are not enough to control blood sugar.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Controlling high blood sugar in type 2 diabetes
- Used when Metformin alone is not enough to control sugar levels
- Sometimes used along with other diabetes medicines or insulin as advised
HOW IT WORKS
- Empagliflozin helps the kidneys remove excess sugar through urine
- Sitagliptin helps the body release more insulin after meals and reduces sugar production by the liver
- Metformin reduces sugar production by the liver and improves the body's response to insulin
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for type 1 diabetes
- Not used for diabetic ketoacidosis
- Not a substitute for insulin in patients who require it

How to Use Empagliflozin 25mg + Sitagliptin 100mg + Metformin 1000mg
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with meals
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew
- Drink enough fluids during the day, especially in hot weather
- Continue diet and exercise plan as advised
- Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
- If you often forget doses, ask your doctor about reminders or dose timing

- Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture

- Signs of ketoacidosis such as fast breathing, unusual tiredness, fruity breath odour
- Severe dehydration or low blood pressure
- Signs of urinary tract or genital infection with fever
- Unexplained muscle pain with weakness (possible lactic acidosis)
- Severe allergic reaction such as swelling of face, lips, or difficulty breathing

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to Empagliflozin, Sitagliptin, Metformin, or any other ingredient
