How to Use Fluticasone

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Use exactly as prescribed by your doctor, in the form given to you (nasal spray or inhaler)
• For nasal spray, blow your nose gently before use, then spray into each nostril as directed
• For inhalers, use with proper technique; ask your pharmacist to show you if unsure
• Rinse your mouth with water after using an inhaler to reduce risk of mouth infections
• Use it regularly, even if you feel well, since it works best with continued use
• Do not stop suddenly without talking to your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as normal
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep away from moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not puncture, break, or throw the inhaler canister into fire, even when empty

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Vision changes, eye pain, or blurred vision
• Signs of a nasal septum problem such as persistent nosebleeds or nasal pain
• Signs of a severe infection such as high fever that does not go away
