This combination cream is mainly used for the treatment of melasma, a common skin condition causing dark, brownish patches on the face.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treatment of moderate to severe melasma on the face
• Short-term use to lighten dark patches caused by sun exposure, hormones or pregnancy

HOW IT WORKS

• Hydroquinone reduces the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for dark patches
• Tretinoin increases skin cell turnover, helping to fade pigmentation faster and improve penetration of hydroquinone
• Fluocinolone Acetonide is a mild steroid that reduces skin irritation caused by the other two ingredients

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not for treating acne, though tretinoin alone is used for acne
• Not for treating other types of pigmentation such as freckles or age spots without doctor's advice
• Not for long-term daily use beyond the prescribed duration
• Not to be used on broken, sunburnt or infected skin

How to Use Hydroquinone 2% W/W + Tretinoin 0.025% W/W + Fluocinolone Acetonide 0.01% W/W

HOW TO TAKE IT

• For external use only, apply on skin as directed by your doctor
• Usually applied once daily at night on clean, dry skin
• Apply a thin layer only to the affected area, avoiding eyes, lips and mucous membranes
• Wash hands thoroughly after application
• Use sunscreen and avoid sun exposure during treatment, as this medicine increases skin sensitivity to sunlight
• Do not use more than the prescribed amount or apply more frequently, as this can worsen irritation
• Do not use for longer than the duration advised by your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply as soon as you remember, but skip if it is almost time for the next application
• Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat
• Keep the tube tightly closed
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

• Severe blistering, oozing or swelling of skin
• Signs of allergic reaction such as rash, itching, swelling of face or difficulty breathing
• Severe burning or pain that does not improve
• Unusual dark or blue-black discoloration of skin (ochronosis)
