HOW IT WORKS

• It stabilises electrical activity in the brain by acting on nerve cell membranes
• It reduces the release of certain chemical messengers that trigger seizures
• This helps prevent abnormal nerve signals that cause fits or mood swings

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a painkiller and does not treat headaches or body pain
• It is not used for sudden manic episodes needing immediate control

How to Use Lamotrigine 25mg

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice a day
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water; it can be taken with or without food
• Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this can cause seizures to return
• Doses are usually started low and increased gradually, so follow your doctor's schedule carefully
• Do not change the dose on your own even if you feel better

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not take double doses to make up for a missed one
