How to Use Montelukast 5mg

HOW TO TAKE IT

  • Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily in the evening
  • Can be taken with or without food
  • Chewable tablets should be chewed, not swallowed whole, unless your doctor advises otherwise
  • Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as it works best when used daily
  • Do not stop suddenly without talking to your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

  • Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
  • If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

  • Store at room temperature, away from direct heat, light and moisture
  • Keep out of reach and sight of children

  • Yellowing of skin or eyes, or unusual tiredness suggesting liver problems
  • Numbness, tingling or worsening of asthma symptoms with rash (possible sign of a rare condition)
