This combination medicine is mainly used to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other heart-related problems in people who have high cholesterol along with a risk of blood clot formation.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- To lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood
- To prevent blood clots that can lead to heart attack or stroke
- For long-term secondary prevention in patients with existing heart disease or risk factors
HOW IT WORKS
- Rosuvastatin blocks an enzyme in the liver needed to make cholesterol, lowering bad cholesterol and raising good cholesterol
- Aspirin thins the blood by preventing platelets from sticking together, reducing clot formation
- Together, they help protect the heart and blood vessels from damage caused by cholesterol build-up and clotting
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
