This combination medicine is mainly used to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other heart-related problems in people who have high cholesterol along with a risk of blood clot formation.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• To lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood
• To prevent blood clots that can lead to heart attack or stroke
• For long-term secondary prevention in patients with existing heart disease or risk factors

HOW IT WORKS

• Rosuvastatin blocks an enzyme in the liver needed to make cholesterol, lowering bad cholesterol and raising good cholesterol
• Aspirin thins the blood by preventing platelets from sticking together, reducing clot formation
