This combination medicine is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially when diet, exercise and a single diabetes medicine are not enough to control blood sugar.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• To control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes
• Often added when one diabetes medicine alone is not giving enough control
• Used along with diet and exercise as advised by the doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• Empagliflozin helps the kidneys remove extra sugar from the body through urine
• Linagliptin helps the pancreas release more insulin and reduces sugar production by the liver after meals

• Signs of ketoacidosis such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, tiredness, and breathing difficulty even with normal blood sugar
• Severe urinary tract or genital infection with fever
• Signs of dehydration such as dizziness, confusion, or very low urine output
• Sudden swelling of face, lips, tongue or throat, or difficulty breathing (allergic reaction)
• Severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to the back (possible pancreatitis)
• Symptoms of low blood sugar such as shakiness, sweating, confusion, especially if combined with other diabetes medicines

How to Use AJADUO 25/5 Tablets (Empagliflozin 25mg + Linagliptin 5mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily in the morning
• Can be taken with or without food
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Drink enough water during the day as this medicine increases urination
• Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well; do not stop without consulting your doctor
• Keep taking your prescribed diet and exercise plan along with this medicine

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
