Diclofenac Sodium is commonly prescribed to relieve pain and inflammation in a variety of conditions affecting muscles, joints, and bones.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis pain and swelling
- Ankylosing spondylitis
- Acute musculoskeletal injuries like sprains and strains
- Post-operative and post-dental procedure pain
- Menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea)
- Pain and swelling after minor surgery
HOW IT WORKS
- Blocks enzymes called cyclo-oxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2)
- Reduces production of prostaglandins, chemicals that cause pain, swelling, and fever
- Provides relief from inflammation and associated pain within a short time of use
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not a cure for arthritis or any chronic disease, only relieves symptoms
- Not meant for long-term daily use without medical supervision
- Not used for infections, as it has no antibacterial or antiviral action
- Not suitable for mild headaches when safer alternatives can be used

- Black or bloody stools, or vomiting blood (sign of stomach bleeding)
- Severe stomach pain
- Yellowing of skin or eyes
- Sudden swelling of face, lips, or throat, or difficulty breathing (allergic reaction)
- Chest pain, breathlessness, or one-sided weakness (signs of heart or stroke problems)
- Severe skin rash with blistering or peeling
- Very little or no urine output

How to Use VOVERAN-SR 100MG (Diclofenac Sodium 100mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with food or milk to reduce stomach upset
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew it
- Do not increase the dose or take it more often than advised
- Avoid lying down immediately after taking the tablet
- Do not take alongside other NSAIDs or pain-relief tablets unless your doctor allows it
- Use for the shortest duration needed to control symptoms
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use beyond the expiry date printed on the pack
- Dispose of unused or expired medicine safely, not in household waste or drains

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to diclofenac or other NSAIDs like ibuprofen or aspirin
- Have had asthma, hives, or allergic reaction triggered by NSAIDs
- Have active stomach or intestinal ulcers or bleeding
- Have severe heart failure or recent heart surgery
- Are in the last trimester of pregnancy
