Almotriptan 6.25 mg is used for the acute treatment of migraine headaches.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of migraine attacks with or without aura in adults
• Reducing migraine-associated symptoms such as nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound

HOW IT WORKS

• Acts on serotonin (5-HT1) receptors in the brain
• Causes narrowing of dilated blood vessels around the brain
• Blocks the release of pain-causing chemicals, easing migraine pain

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used to prevent migraine attacks or reduce their frequency
• Not used for tension-type or other common headaches
• Not used for cluster headaches
• Not a routine painkiller for everyday aches and pains

• Cold, pale, or blue fingers/toes (signs of poor blood circulation)

How to Use ALMOGRIL 6.25MG TABLET (ALMOTRIPTAN 6.25 MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually one tablet at the first sign of a migraine attack
• Can be taken with or without food
• Swallow the tablet with water
• If the migraine returns after initial relief, a second dose may be taken only after the gap advised by your doctor
• Do not take more than the number of doses allowed in 24 hours as directed by your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• This medicine is taken only when a migraine attack occurs, not on a regular daily schedule
• There is no fixed missed dose schedule; take it when the next attack starts, as advised by your doctor

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep in its original packaging, away from moisture
• Keep out of reach and sight of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Have severe liver or kidney disease
