Uses and Benefits of AMPANEL 6MG TABLET (PERAMPANEL 6MG)
Perampanel 6mg is mainly used to treat epilepsy in adults and children above a certain age, as decided by the doctor.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treating partial-onset seizures, with or without spreading to both sides of the brain
- Treating primary generalised tonic-clonic seizures
- Used alone or along with other anti-epileptic medicines
HOW IT WORKS
- It blocks a brain chemical called glutamate from overstimulating nerve cells
- This reduces the abnormal electrical signals that cause seizures
- It helps lower the frequency of seizure episodes over time
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for treating anxiety or mood disorders
- Not a painkiller and does not treat headaches or migraines
- Not used to stop a seizure that is already happening (it is a preventive, not emergency, medicine)
- Not recommended for conditions unrelated to seizure disorders

How to Use AMPANEL 6MG TABLET (PERAMPANEL 6MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day at bedtime
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Can be taken with or without food, as your doctor suggests
- Do not stop taking it suddenly, even if you feel better, as this may trigger seizures
- Any dose changes should be done gradually under medical supervision
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
- If you miss doses for several days, contact your doctor before restarting

- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep the medicine in its original pack until it is time to take it
- Keep out of reach and sight of children and pets
- Do not use the medicine after the expiry date printed on the pack
