Uses and Benefits of ANAFORTAN MF TABLET (CAMYLOFIN (50MG) + MEFENAMIC ACID (250MG))
This combination medicine is mainly used to relieve pain associated with muscle spasms in the abdomen and uterus, such as menstrual cramps and colicky abdominal pain.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Relief of abdominal cramps due to spasm of gut muscles
- Relief of painful menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhoea)
- Relief of colicky pain from the urinary or biliary tract in some cases
HOW IT WORKS
- Camylofin relaxes the smooth muscles of the stomach, intestines and uterus, reducing spasm and cramping
- Mefenamic acid blocks certain chemicals (prostaglandins) that cause pain and inflammation
- Together they relieve both the spasm and the associated pain
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not meant for chronic long-term pain conditions like arthritis
- It is not a treatment for infections, fever alone, or peptic ulcer pain
- It should not be used for headache or general body pain unrelated to spasm
- It is not a substitute for a proper diagnosis if pain is severe or persistent

- Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice)
- Reduced urination or swelling of feet (kidney problems)
- Severe skin reaction with blistering or peeling

How to Use ANAFORTAN MF TABLET (CAMYLOFIN (50MG) + MEFENAMIC ACID (250MG))
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually after food to reduce stomach upset
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Do not increase the dose or take it more often than prescribed
- Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine as it can increase stomach irritation
- Do not use for more than the prescribed number of days without consulting your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
- Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one

- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to camylofin, mefenamic acid, or other NSAIDs (like aspirin/ibuprofen)
- Have active stomach or intestinal ulcers or bleeding
- Have severe kidney, liver or heart disease
- Are in the third trimester of pregnancy
- Have a history of asthma triggered by NSAIDs

- Have kidney, liver or heart problems
