Uses and Benefits of ARBITEL H TABLET (TELMISARTAN + HYDROCHLOROTHYIAZIDE)
This combination medicine is mainly prescribed for the treatment of high blood pressure that is not adequately controlled by a single medicine alone.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treating high blood pressure (hypertension)
- Used when blood pressure is not controlled by telmisartan or hydrochlorothiazide alone
- Helps lower the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney problems linked to long-term high blood pressure
HOW IT WORKS
- Telmisartan blocks a hormone called angiotensin II, which relaxes and widens blood vessels
- Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic (water pill) that helps the kidneys remove extra salt and water
- Together they lower blood pressure more effectively than either medicine used alone
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for immediate emergency lowering of very high blood pressure
- Not a painkiller or fever medicine
- Not used to treat infections
- Not recommended for use in pregnancy

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY
- Swelling of face, lips, tongue or throat, or difficulty breathing (allergic reaction)
- Signs of very low blood pressure such as fainting
- Severe dizziness or irregular heartbeat (may indicate abnormal potassium or sodium levels)
- Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice)
- Severe skin rash or blistering
- Reduced urine output or signs of kidney problems
- Muscle weakness, confusion or severe thirst (signs of electrolyte imbalance)

How to Use ARBITEL H TABLET (TELMISARTAN + HYDROCHLOROTHYIAZIDE)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
- Can be taken with or without food
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Try to take it at the same time every day to help you remember
- Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as blood pressure medicines work best with consistent use
- Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
- Keep in a dry place away from moisture
- Keep out of reach and sight of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
