Uses and Benefits of ASPRITO 2MG Tablets (Aripiprazole 2mg)
Aripiprazole is used to treat certain mental health conditions where brain chemical balance is disturbed.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Schizophrenia
- Bipolar disorder (mania and maintenance)
- As an add-on treatment for major depression not fully controlled by other medicines
- Irritability associated with autistic disorder in children, when prescribed by a specialist
- Tourette's disorder, in some cases
HOW IT WORKS
- Aripiprazole acts on dopamine and serotonin receptors in the brain
- It helps balance these chemical messengers, which are often disturbed in mental health disorders
- This helps reduce symptoms like hallucinations, mood swings, and disturbed thinking
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a painkiller or sleep medicine
- It is not used for simple anxiety or everyday stress
- It is not a cure; it controls symptoms and needs to be taken regularly as advised
- It should not be used without medical supervision, especially in elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

How to Use ASPRITO 2MG Tablets (Aripiprazole 2mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
- Can be taken with or without food, at the same time each day
- Do not crush or chew unless your pharmacist tells you it is safe to do so
- Do not stop the medicine suddenly, even if you feel better; this can cause your condition to return
- It may take a few weeks to feel the full benefit
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
- If you miss several doses, tell your doctor before restarting
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not store in the bathroom or near a sink
- Discard properly after the expiry date printed on the pack
