This medicine is mainly used to treat high blood pressure in adults who need more than one medicine to control it.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Long-term control of high blood pressure (hypertension)
• Used when a single blood pressure medicine is not enough to control blood pressure
• May be used to reduce strain on the heart caused by high blood pressure

HOW IT WORKS

• Azelnidipine blocks calcium channels in blood vessel walls, causing them to relax and widen
• Telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a chemical that narrows blood vessels
• Together they lower blood pressure more effectively than either medicine alone
• Lower blood pressure reduces the risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
