This combination medicine is mainly used to treat high cholesterol (dyslipidemia) in people who need additional LDL-lowering beyond what a statin alone can achieve.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering high LDL (bad) cholesterol
• Reducing risk of heart attack and stroke in people with high cardiovascular risk
• Managing cholesterol in people who cannot reach target levels with a statin alone

HOW IT WORKS

• Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme in the liver that makes cholesterol, lowering LDL levels
• Bempedoic acid works in the liver through a different enzyme pathway to further reduce LDL cholesterol production

• Unexplained severe muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially with fever or dark urine (sign of muscle breakdown)
• Yellowing of skin or eyes, severe tiredness, or dark urine (sign of liver problems)
• Signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, swelling of face/lips/tongue, or difficulty breathing
• Sudden tendon pain or swelling
• Severe stomach pain

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• Can be taken with or without food, at the same time each day
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as cholesterol control needs continuous treatment
• Do not stop the medicine on your own without consulting your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
