This medicine is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially when blood sugar is not controlled by a single medicine or lifestyle changes alone.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Controlling high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes
- Used along with diet and exercise for better sugar control
- Sometimes added when other diabetes medicines are not enough
HOW IT WORKS
- Glimepiride helps the pancreas release more insulin
- Dapagliflozin helps the kidneys remove extra sugar through urine
- Metformin reduces sugar production by the liver and improves insulin action
- Together they lower blood sugar through three complementary actions

- Signs of low blood sugar such as sweating, shaking, confusion
- Severe dehydration or fainting
- Signs of ketoacidosis such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, fast breathing even with normal sugar levels
- Severe urinary or genital infection with fever
- Signs of lactic acidosis such as unusual tiredness, muscle pain, trouble breathing
- Sudden swelling of face, lips or throat, or difficulty breathing (allergic reaction)

How to Use Azulix DM 1/10/500mg Tablets (Glimepiride 1mg + Dapagliflozin 10mg + Metformin 500mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily with the first main meal of the day
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew
- Drink enough fluids during the day while on this medicine
- Continue diet and exercise advised by your doctor
- Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from moisture
- Keep the strip in its original packaging until use
- Keep out of reach and sight of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
