Bromocriptine is mainly used to treat conditions related to excess prolactin hormone and certain movement or hormonal disorders.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- High prolactin levels causing irregular periods, infertility, or breast milk production not related to childbirth
- Certain pituitary gland tumours (prolactinomas)
- Parkinson's disease, often along with other medicines
- Suppression of breast milk in specific medical situations, as advised by a doctor
- Acromegaly (a condition of excess growth hormone), in some cases
HOW IT WORKS
- It acts like dopamine in the brain and body
- It reduces the release of prolactin hormone from the pituitary gland
- It stimulates dopamine receptors that help control movement in Parkinson's disease

How to Use B-CRIP 2.50MG TABLET (BROMOCRIPTINE 2.5MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with food to reduce nausea
- Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own
- Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush unless advised
- Your doctor may start with a low dose and gradually increase it
- Continue taking it for as long as your doctor recommends, even if you feel better
