Uses and Benefits of B-LONG TABLET (Pyridoxine 100mg)
Pyridoxine 100mg is mainly used to treat and prevent Vitamin B6 deficiency and to manage certain nerve-related conditions caused by low B6 levels.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treating and preventing Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) deficiency
- Managing peripheral neuritis (nerve pain/tingling) caused by low B6 levels, including that caused by certain medicines like isoniazid
- Helping to reduce nausea and vomiting in some situations, including in pregnancy, when advised by a doctor
- Supporting overall nerve and metabolic health in people at risk of deficiency
HOW IT WORKS
- Vitamin B6 is needed by the body to process proteins, carbohydrates, and fats
- It helps in the formation of red blood cells and supports normal nerve function
- Supplementing with pyridoxine corrects deficiency and helps restore normal nerve and metabolic function
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a painkiller and does not treat pain unrelated to B6 deficiency
- It is not used to treat infections
- It is not a substitute for a balanced diet
- It should not be used as a general energy booster without medical advice
