WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Control of high blood pressure (hypertension)

HOW IT WORKS

• Atenolol blocks beta receptors in the heart, reducing heart rate and the force of contraction, lowering blood pressure and oxygen demand

• Together they provide better blood pressure and symptom control than either alone in some patients

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Try to take it at the same time each day to maintain steady levels in the body
• Can be taken with or without food, as advised by your doctor

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
