WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Reducing frequency and severity of vertigo (spinning sensation) attacks
• Managing tinnitus (ringing or buzzing sound in the ears) linked to Meniere's disease
• Helping with hearing loss and feeling of fullness in the ear caused by Meniere's disease

HOW IT WORKS

• Improves blood circulation in the inner ear
• Helps reduce the pressure caused by excess fluid build-up in the inner ear
• Acts on histamine receptors to help balance signals from the inner ear to the brain

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for vertigo caused by other conditions unless advised by a doctor

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water, preferably with food to reduce stomach upset
• Do not crush or chew unless advised by your doctor
• Take at the same times each day for best results
• Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, even if symptoms improve

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to betahistine or any of its ingredients
• Have a rare tumour called pheochromocytoma

• Have or have had a stomach ulcer

• Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) used for depression
