Etoricoxib 120mg is used to treat pain and inflammation caused by various joint and muscle conditions.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of pain and swelling in acute gouty arthritis
• Short-term management of pain after certain surgical procedures, such as dental surgery
• Relief of signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis when prescribed
• Management of ankylosing spondylitis in some cases

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks a specific enzyme called COX-2 that produces chemicals responsible for pain, swelling and inflammation
• By selectively targeting COX-2, it aims to reduce inflammation while having less effect on the stomach lining compared to older NSAIDs
• It does not cure the underlying disease but helps control the symptoms

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day

• Do not increase the dose or take it more often than prescribed
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration needed

IF YOU MISS A DOSE
