Uses and Benefits of CAMERIV 20MG TABLET (RIVAROXABAN 20MG)

Rivaroxaban 20mg is used to prevent and treat conditions caused by abnormal blood clot formation.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
• Treatment of pulmonary embolism (PE)
• Prevention of recurrent DVT and PE
• Prevention of stroke and blood clots in people with atrial fibrillation not caused by a heart valve problem
• Reducing risk of clotting events in certain heart and blood vessel conditions, as advised by your doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks a clotting factor called Factor Xa in the blood
• This reduces the blood's ability to form clots
• It helps prevent existing clots from growing larger and new clots from forming

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a painkiller and does not treat pain or inflammation
• It is not used for treating infections
• It is not a substitute for other heart medicines like blood pressure or cholesterol drugs
• It should not be used to dissolve a clot in an emergency stroke situation without medical supervision

• Signs of allergic reaction such as swelling of face, lips, throat, or difficulty breathing

How to Use CAMERIV 20MG TABLET (RIVAROXABAN 20MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily with food
• Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush unless advised by your doctor
• Take it at the same time every day to maintain steady levels in the body
• Do not stop taking it suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this can increase clotting risk
• Continue for as long as your doctor recommends, even if you feel well

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
