Carvedilol 12.5mg is mainly used to treat high blood pressure and heart-related conditions.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- Chronic heart failure, along with other heart medicines
- To improve survival after a heart attack that has affected heart function
- Sometimes used for certain heart rhythm or chest pain conditions as advised by a doctor
HOW IT WORKS
- It blocks beta and alpha receptors in the heart and blood vessels
- This slows the heart rate and relaxes blood vessels
- Reduces the workload on the heart and lowers blood pressure
- Over time, helps the heart pump more efficiently in heart failure
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a painkiller
- It does not treat infections
- It is not meant for immediate relief of a chest pain attack (angina attack) already in progress
- It should not be used as a first-choice medicine in uncontrolled asthma or severe lung disease

How to Use CARDIVAS 12.5MG TABLET (Carvedilol 12.5mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with food
- Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Do not stop taking it suddenly, even if you feel better, as this can worsen heart problems
- Take it at the same time(s) each day to maintain steady levels in the body
- Continue regular blood pressure and heart rate checks as advised by your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
- If you miss several doses, inform your doctor before restarting

- Store at room temperature, away from direct heat, light and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
