This medicine combination is mainly used in the treatment of chronic heart failure and related heart conditions where both blood pressure/heart workload control and heart rate reduction are required.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Management of chronic heart failure, along with other standard heart failure medicines
• Control of heart rate in patients with certain heart rhythm conditions, as decided by a cardiologist
• Improving heart function symptoms such as breathlessness and fatigue over time

HOW IT WORKS

• Carvedilol is a beta-blocker that relaxes blood vessels and reduces the workload on the heart
• Ivabradine slows down the heart rate by acting on the heart's natural pacemaker cells, without lowering blood pressure much
• Together they help the heart pump more efficiently and reduce strain

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with food to reduce stomach upset
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Take it at the same time(s) each day to maintain steady levels in the body
• Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this can worsen your heart condition
• Continue regular follow-up visits and monitoring of heart rate and blood pressure as advised

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your normal schedule

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Have very low blood pressure
