Cabergoline 0.25mg is prescribed for conditions related to high prolactin hormone levels in the body.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treating hyperprolactinemia (high prolactin levels)
- Managing prolactin-secreting pituitary tumours (prolactinomas)
- Treating irregular or absent menstrual periods caused by high prolactin
- Managing infertility linked to high prolactin levels
- Reducing unwanted milk production (galactorrhoea) not related to childbirth
HOW IT WORKS
- It acts on dopamine receptors in the brain
- This action reduces the release of prolactin hormone from the pituitary gland
- Lowering prolactin helps restore normal menstrual cycles and fertility
- It also helps stop unwanted breast milk secretion
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a general fertility booster unrelated to prolactin problems
- It is not used for routine period delay or birth control
- It is not a treatment for Parkinson's disease at this particular use/dose unless specifically advised

How to Use CEBERLIN 0.25MG TABLET (CABERGOLINE 0.25MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice a week
- Take with food to reduce stomach upset
- Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Take it at the same time(s) on the same day(s) each week for consistency
- Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own
- Continue for as long as your doctor recommends, even if you feel better
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
- If you miss doses often, inform your doctor
