WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Throat and tonsil infections
• Ear infections
• Urinary tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections

HOW IT WORKS

• Belongs to the cephalosporin class of antibiotics
• Stops bacteria from building their protective cell wall
• This weakens and eventually kills the bacteria, clearing the infection

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Viral infections such as common cold or flu
• Fungal infections
• Non-bacterial cough or sore throat

How to Use CEDON DROP (Cefpodoxime 25mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Can be taken with or without food, but taking with food may reduce stomach upset
• Swallow tablets with a glass of water; shake the suspension well before use
• Complete the full course even if you feel better before finishing it
• Do not stop the medicine on your own

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose
• Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep the suspension in the refrigerator if advised by the pharmacist, but do not freeze
• Keep out of reach of children
• Discard any unused liquid after the recommended period mentioned on the label

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to cefpodoxime or other cephalosporin antibiotics

• Probenecid, which can increase levels of this medicine in the body
