Cefpodoxime 25mg is used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria in different parts of the body.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and sinusitis
- Throat and tonsil infections
- Ear infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Skin and soft tissue infections
HOW IT WORKS
- Belongs to the cephalosporin class of antibiotics
- Stops bacteria from building their protective cell wall
- This weakens and eventually kills the bacteria, clearing the infection
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Viral infections such as common cold or flu
- Fungal infections
- Non-bacterial cough or sore throat

How to Use OXIPOD DROP (Cefpodoxime 25mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
- Can be taken with or without food, but taking with food may reduce stomach upset
- Swallow tablets with a glass of water; shake the suspension well before use
- Complete the full course even if you feel better before finishing it
- Do not stop the medicine on your own
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose
- Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep the suspension in the refrigerator if advised by the pharmacist, but do not freeze
- Keep out of reach of children
- Discard any unused liquid after the recommended period mentioned on the label
