Uses and Benefits of CEROXIM XP 375MG TABLET (CEFUROXIME 250MG+CLAVULANIC ACID125MG)

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Chest infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia
- Throat and sinus infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Skin and soft tissue infections
- Ear infections
HOW IT WORKS
- Cefuroxime kills bacteria by stopping them from building their protective outer wall
- Clavulanic acid blocks an enzyme some bacteria use to destroy cefuroxime
- Together they widen the range of bacteria the medicine can treat
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Viral infections like common cold, flu, or most sore throats
- Fungal infections
- Preventing infections without a doctor's advice
- Conditions unrelated to bacterial infection
This medicine only works against bacteria and will not help with viral illnesses. Always complete the full course as prescribed, even if you feel better early, to prevent the infection from returning or bacteria becoming resistant.
