Uses and Benefits of CESTEL 30 TABLET (ETHINYLOESTRADIOL 30MCG.+DIENOGEST 2MG.)
This combination is mainly used for preventing pregnancy and managing certain menstrual disorders.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Prevention of pregnancy (oral contraceptive)
- Regulation of irregular or heavy menstrual periods
- Reduction of menstrual pain in some women
- Management of acne related to hormonal imbalance in some cases
HOW IT WORKS
- Ethinyloestradiol and Dienogest work together to prevent ovulation (release of an egg)
- They thicken the mucus at the cervix, making it harder for sperm to reach the egg
- They change the lining of the uterus, making it less suitable for a fertilised egg to implant
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not used to treat sexually transmitted infections
- It does not protect against HIV or other STIs
- It is not an emergency contraceptive pill
- It should not be used to treat unrelated hormonal conditions without medical advice

How to Use CESTEL 30 TABLET (ETHINYLOESTRADIOL 30MCG.+DIENOGEST 2MG.)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually one tablet daily at the same time each day
- Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food
- Follow the pack instructions regarding the order of tablets and any pill-free interval
- Do not stop or change the dose without consulting your doctor
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed tablet as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
- Do not take two tablets together to make up for a missed dose
- Use an additional barrier contraceptive method if a dose is missed, as advised by your doctor
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
- Keep in the original packaging until ready to use
